Semen Collection
Collection, evaluation and freezing of semen is available. Holbrook Breeders has a licensed collection facility for semen collection for export, or to be sold within Australia. We comply with the Australian Licensing Standards, and provide all health testing procedures required for export to most countries.
Unlicensed collections are also available for private use. This may involve bringing the bull in for the designated collection day or in some cases collections on farm.
Exports
Holbrook breeders have a long history of successfully exporting semen and embryos to an extensive worldwide market including New Zealand, Argentina, Canada, USA, Vanuatu, Uruguay, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, China and Brazil.
Holbrook Breeders Australia are audited twice a year by AQIS under OIE and Scarm 64 conditions by representatives from AQIS.
China have sent government authorities to Holbrook Breeders Australia to inspect and authorise the collection of both semen and embryos.
Our facilities are located below arbovirus vector lines.
On Farm Collection Service
Our on-farm collection service can be utilised with our fully equipped mobile van which is capable of semen processing and testing for sales on site. Please enquire direct to our office for more details on this service.
Export and Domestic Embryo Collection
Holbrook Breeders provides a professional export and domestic embryo collection service. Export embryos may be licenced for a 
wide range of countries. Our centre is fully AQIS approved and our facilities have been built to favour the animals. Large paddocks with shade and shelter combines with our expertise to provide for excellent results. The full flush program is performed on centre, including superovulation, cycling, artificial insemination and retrieval and freezing of embryos.

Embryo Transfer
Holbrook Breeders Australia (HBA) offers clients the complete Embryo Transfer (ET) package having been an industry leader for almost 20 years. We can cater for small and large domestic and export ET programs.
Export Services
Holbrook Breeders provides an AQIS licensed and audited export donor centre enabling collection and preparation of frozen embryos ready for export to a wide range of countries.
Dr. Rick Tindal heads our very experienced AQIS accredited Export Collection Team. In addition to this we have a fully equipped AQIS approved mobile laboratory enabling on-farm export collection if appropriate.
Domestic Services
Domestic ET programs are carried out on our domestic centre or on-farm. Donors can be sent to Holbrook Breeders for flushing and freezing or implanting into clients recipients on flush day.
Alternatively clients can program their own donors and recipients and we come to their farm with our mobile laboratory to carry our all the necessary work.
This service extends from the South Burnett/Darling Downs regions in Queensland south to and including Tasmania.
Comprehensive step by step programs are forwarded to the client advising when and what to administer to their cattle as well as 24/7 telephone support.Semen and Embryo Storage
Fully maintained liquid nitrogen tanks are available for storage of licenced and unlicensed semen and embryos. 
(Export protocols maintain that licenced semen must be stored in designated locations within a licenced centre).
We also provide storage for privately owned tanks which are regularly topped with nitrogen.
Holbrook Breeders maintains a large semen shipper inventory and can dispatch worldwide. Dispatches within Australia and overseas can be insured on request. Please contact us.
